Hi all.  Firstly, a massive thank you to all of you for your support over the years I’ve been running Alder & Ash.  It’s been overwhelming.  I’ve been blessed to meet some incredible people from all realms of music, and couldn’t be more thankful.

 

But the time has come for a massive shack-up of my business.  There are reasons (read the whole piece below if you’d like), but the headline is:

 

As of 1st July 2024, I will no longer be taking commission orders.  Instead, all boards will become “stock orders”, with some customisable options.  These will include the connections, and possibly the case colours.

 

For those interested, here’s the reasoning:

 

Over the past few years, I’ve been struggling.  Whether it be personally or mentally, it has had several effects; I’m spending less time with my family, and I’m constantly chasing my tail with the commission orders.  Both of these have compounded inside my head, and I can’t take the pressure (self-imposed or otherwise) anymore.

 

So to solve this, I’m scaling back, and taking up a ‘normal’ job.  Stock boards will be built in my spare time, so I can focus on the most important thing - my daughter, and ensure that orders are fulfilled in a decent timeframe.

 

It’s something I’ve been fighting, but the time has come.  So there’s one more month for you to order your ideal board.  These will be done under a 12-16 week completion timeframe.  There will only be 6 slots.

 

For those of you with open orders, I’ll be contacting you soon with an update.

 

Again, thank you to everyone who has supported me.  Whether it be through buying a board / cab / anything, or by suggesting my products, or talking to me at shows, supporting the artists who have supported me….anything.  Just, thank you.
